Elon Musk has regained his position as the world’s first trillionaire after a sharp rebound in the value of his major company holdings. On October 5, his estimated fortune jumped by roughly $59–65 billion in a single day, reaching about $1.04–1.05 trillion, according to wealth trackers cited by Times International.

Musk first crossed the $1 trillion mark in June after SpaceX began trading publicly. Strong investor demand initially pushed his estimated wealth as high as around $1.45 trillion. However, a steep decline in SpaceX shares during July and August reduced his fortune to below the trillion-dollar threshold.

His latest comeback was driven mainly by gains in SpaceX and Tesla. SpaceX shares rose 7.6%, while Tesla also gained following stronger-than-expected quarterly vehicle deliveries.

More than 98% of Musk’s wealth is reportedly tied to SpaceX and Tesla equity, making his fortune highly sensitive to movements in their share prices. His return above $1 trillion highlights just how quickly billionaire wealth can fluctuate with market valuations.
