Filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki has dismissed rumours of a separation from his wife, actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha, describing the reports as baseless and saying he has no interest in engaging with the speculation.

Speaking to bdnews24.com, Farooki said he had no time to respond to what he called “nonsense” and urged the media to focus on his professional work instead.

The former culture affairs adviser to the interim government also alleged that his Facebook account had been targeted by hackers and deactivated on Saturday morning. He claimed that a Bangladeshi cybercrime group was celebrating the incident in online groups and called on law enforcement agencies to take action, describing the matter as a public safety concern.

Farooki also dismissed social media discussions about his alleged property ownership in Australia and Switzerland, calling them part of a pattern of misinformation.

Turning to his work, the filmmaker said he had completed two commercials, with shoots taking place in Dhaka, Mymensingh and South Korea. He is preparing to shoot a third advertisement featuring a celebrity.

Farooki is also developing scripts for two feature films. One is a love story tentatively titled To Hell, With Love, exploring how younger generations, particularly Gen Z, perceive romance. The second film will have a political backdrop.
