Jim Carrey has married his longtime partner Min Ah in a private ceremony in Los Angeles, attended by close friends and family. A spokesperson confirmed the marriage to PEOPLE magazine.

Carrey is 64 and Min Ah is 32. The couple are reported to have known each other privately since 2022, and made their first public appearance together at the César Awards in Paris in February 2026.

At that ceremony Carrey described Min Ah as his sublime companion during an acceptance speech delivered entirely in French. He also thanked his daughter Jane and his grandson Jackson, and paid tribute to his late father, Percy Joseph Carrey.

This is Carrey’s third marriage. He was married to Melissa Womer from 1987 to 1995, and they have a daughter, Jane Erin. His second marriage, to his “Dumb and Dumber” co-star Lauren Holly, lasted from September 1996 to June 1997.

Carrey has kept a low public profile for several years, having spoken more than once about stepping back from film work, which makes both the César appearance and the private ceremony consistent with how he has handled recent years.

The pattern is of someone managing his own visibility rather than withdrawing from public life. The César speech was delivered in French at a major ceremony, and the wedding was held with close friends and family and confirmed by a spokesperson rather than announced. Both are deliberate choices about how much to make public.

Neither Carrey nor Min Ah, who has stayed out of public view, has commented beyond the spokesperson’s confirmation.
